The short answer

Business and corporate accommodation in Stratford-upon-Avon.

We let whole apartments in Stratford-upon-Avon to people working in the city: consultants on a client site, project teams, people covering a role for a few months, and anyone whose company would otherwise be paying hotel rates four nights a week. You get the whole property rather than a room, with somewhere to work, a kitchen, a washing machine and self check-in at whatever hour the last train gets in. We invoice the company properly, with a purchase order reference if you need one. Stratford is a town rather than a city, so a central property is genuinely central: everything is a walk.

Called a few different things

Different companies call this different things. Corporate accommodation Stratford-upon-Avon, business accommodation Stratford-upon-Avon, corporate housing Stratford-upon-Avon, corporate let Stratford-upon-Avon, short term serviced apartments Stratford-upon-Avon, corporate short term lets, serviced apartments, commercial accommodation, corporate rental, or simply a better business hotel Stratford-upon-Avon alternative. It is all the same request: somewhere better than a hotel room for somebody who is here to work.

What finance actually asks

A hotel for four nights a week, for three months, is a line item somebody will question.

That is usually what starts this conversation. Hotel rates on a Monday to Thursday pattern, multiplied across a project, become visible in a way that a serviced apartment does not, and the hotel gives you a room, a kettle and a breakfast you are too early for. An apartment costs less across the same period and is a better place to spend three months. It suits you if:

You are in Stratford-upon-Avon several nights a week, for weeks
You need to actually work from where you are staying
There are two or three of you on the same project
You arrive late and leave early
You would rather cook than eat out every night
Finance needs a clean VAT invoice, not a pile of receipts

Where you would be

Where the work actually is in Stratford-upon-Avon.

01

Client sites sit outside the town

If the project is at Gaydon, Warwick or Wellesbourne, you will be driving out to it each day. That is normal here, and it is a trade most people make knowingly. The work sits on a corridor of engineering and automotive sites, and what is near those sites is business park hotels. Stratford is the alternative at the other end of the day.

02

Why that trade is usually worth making

A ring road hotel gives you a car park, a bar and a carvery. A flat in a town gives you somewhere to walk in the evening, a river, places to eat that are not part of the hotel, and a front door of your own. On a two week engagement that barely registers. On a three month one it is most of the difference.

03

Birmingham by train, London by road

Stratford has its own station on the line into Birmingham, with Stratford Parkway just to the north if you would rather park and pick the train up there. Allow the best part of an hour into the city. For Oxford and London the M40 is the realistic route, picked up north of the town, and it is a clear drive outside Friday afternoon.

04

What a small town does not have

Be clear about the scale of the place. There is no central business district, no reliable late food after a meeting that overran, and no serious coworking. Evening trade is built around theatre times, so the town empties in stages rather than staying open. If a team needs meeting space, that gets booked somewhere specific in advance rather than found on the night.

05

The town runs on curtain times

Two theatres set the evening rhythm. Restaurants fill for an early sitting, empty out while the performance runs, then fill again when it comes down. If you want a table at seven on a performance night, that is the hour everyone else wants as well. Eat at six or at nine and the same places are half empty.

06

Optimising for the wrong site

Engagements here rarely sit on one site. A single week can touch Gaydon, Warwick and a supplier out towards Coventry, and putting yourself next to whichever one you visit first makes the other two worse. Stratford is not the closest point to any of them, which is the actual argument for it: most of the corridor sits within a comparable drive.

07

Weekday town, weekend town

On a Monday to Thursday pattern the visitor season barely registers. Weekday mornings the centre is calm and the traffic is local. It is Friday afternoon onwards, and the school holidays, when the character of the place changes. If a project keeps you here over a weekend, better to know that in advance than to work it out while circling for a space.

08

Where people take a visiting colleague

Warwick Castle is the obvious answer and it does the job. Charlecote Park out towards Wellesbourne and Compton Verney further east are the quieter ones, and Kenilworth Castle is a straightforward run north. The Shakespeare houses are genuinely good and genuinely busy. None of it needs planning beyond deciding to go, which beats an evening beside a dual carriageway.

Booking direct

The same property, without the platform's cut.

Our properties are on Airbnb and Booking.com as well, and you are welcome to book there. Booking direct also avoids the guest service fee the big platforms add on top, which on a longer Stratford-upon-Avon stay is not a small number. Booking with us direct also means you are talking to the people who actually run the property rather than a message thread inside an app, which matters when you need an early check-in or an extra week.

For a project running more than a few weeks, message us rather than booking online. We can quote a weekly or monthly rate, invoice the company monthly in arrears, and hold the property across the whole project rather than you rebooking every week.

Stratford-upon-Avon questions

What people ask about staying in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Where in Stratford-upon-Avon would I actually be?

Stratford's project work is mostly automotive and engineering along the Gaydon, Warwick and Wellesbourne corridor, plus the tourism and hospitality businesses in the town itself. Everything outside the centre is a drive.

Can I park in Stratford-upon-Avon?

Parking is the one genuinely awkward thing about Stratford. The town centre car parks fill with visitors from mid morning in summer, the one way system is unforgiving, and a property with its own space is worth considerably more here than the same property in a city.

Which part of Stratford-upon-Avon should I be in?

Most of what you would need day to day sits in the town centre, the riverside and the streets around the theatres. Tell us where you need to be each morning rather than which postcode you fancy, and we will be honest about what is close to it and what only looks close on a map.

How easy is it to get around Stratford-upon-Avon without a car?

Birmingham is fifty minutes by train, the M40 puts Oxford at an hour and London at two, and the Cotswolds start immediately south.

What is there to do in Stratford-upon-Avon on a day off?

The theatres, the river and the town itself fill an evening, and the Cotswolds, Warwick, Leamington and the National Trust properties nearby fill a weekend. On a long stay the surrounding area matters more than the town, because you will have seen the town by week two.

Questions we get asked

What companies ask us before booking.

Can you invoice the company rather than me?

Yes, that is the normal arrangement. We invoice the company directly with the dates, the address and any purchase order reference, and VAT is shown properly. Give us the billing details when you book and it will be right first time rather than something you chase from a hotel lobby.

Do you do weekly or monthly corporate rates?

Yes. The rate drops as the stay gets longer and drops again beyond a month. For a Monday to Thursday pattern over a long project, talk to us rather than booking nights online, because there is usually a better way to structure it.

Can I actually work from the apartment?

Yes, and that is deliberate. There is desk space and proper wifi rather than a chair by a window and a connection that struggles with a video call. If you need to know the actual speed at a specific property before you commit, ask and we will tell you.

What if I arrive on the last train?

Fine. Check-in is self service with a code, so there is no reception to reach and nobody to wake up. Same for a five in the morning departure.
